Brett Stanning

Brett has been writing film scripts, features and shorts, for over fifteen years. Don't worry he uses recycled paper (mostly). He has also been slowly hacking away at RMIT University's Professional Screenwriting course since 2002, absorbing briliance from lecturers including Tim Ferguson, David Rapsey and Vin "Rastas" Hedger.
Brett's written and directed several short films: the self-funded low-fi comedy Post Horror Movie Stress Disorder, the AFC funded Raw Nerve film Play and Dave O'Neil's two-part sitcom teaser One Man and a Pram.
Brett also directs music videos, most recently Unclechunk's R&R and The Readies' Touch Me - I'm Golden.
He is, of course, also developing feature film scripts, including: the comedy, UNTRUE CRIMES and, the 70's horror; MURDER IN THE DARK (for director Paul Andersen).
Brett somehow still finds it possible to get swept up in movies even though he watches far too many. He also still manages to enjoy eating popcorn and choctops. Go figure. |
